This workshop is designed to educate, equip and empower adults who work with youth to effectively deliver abstinence-centered education to youth in an environment or culture where many people believe it is an unrealistic message.
The workshop begins by helping participants understand the difference between the two major approaches of sex education. They will then learn how to respond to the opposition to abstinence-centered education.
Participants will learn about the impact of fatherlessness on youth, how to make the connection between teen pregnancy and poverty, how to present the marriage message to youth who haven’t seen successful marriages and how to respond to the most common challenges from teens and adults.
Although this is a free event, registration is required.
